In 2016 SBC became the first ‘Theatre Company of Sanctuary.' We are committed to making work with, about and for people seeking sanctuary in the UK and internationally. Our work is adventurous and political, merging lived experience with new ideas. We believe deeply in the importance of theatre as a tool to promote social change and unity and hold the powerful to account. We tour throughout the UK and Europe, with a proud record for welcoming new audiences to the theatre.
