About Stand Speak Rise Up!

Stand Speak Rise Up! is an association committed to denouncing rape as a weapon of war, preventing its proliferation and supporting conflict-related sexual violence Survivors in their reconstruction and their need for justice. Created in 2019 by HRH the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, Chékéba Hachemi and Stéphane Bern, Stand Speak Rise Up! amplifies the voices of Survivors, supports their empowerment, and drives systemic change through advocacy, awareness and collaboration. We also advocate for the protection and rights of children born of rape as a weapon of war, working to ensure their care, dignity and inclusion in communities where they are often marginalized due to stigma and discrimination. Stand Speak Rise Up! works with local and international partners to break the silence around conflict-related sexual violence, advocate for Survivor-centred justice, and foster long-term healing and resilience. Through summits, campaigns, and community engagement, Stand Speak Rise Up! provides a platform for Survivors to be heard, believed, and supported – putting their voices and needs at the center of all the association does.
