About Standard Ship Repair
Standard Ship Repair (SSR), previously Standard Inspection Services, was founded in 2016. We specialize in Ship Building and Ship Repair. We also provide services to Building Construction, Aerospace, Bridge, Pipeline, Manufacturing and Fabrication industries for government and commercial entities. SSR has NDT Level II and Level III inspectors certified to ASNT Standards. We have NAVSEA and ASME approved NDT procedures in VT, PT, MT, and UT. Our NDT Level III previously worked for one of the Master Ship Repair Companies (MSR) in San Diego as a Weld Engineer/ NDT Examiner. With our Level III Services we can audit your company to ensure compliance with various codes and standards. We can assist in welding procedure development, welding personnel management, and NDT procedure/personnel development. We believe highly trained welders and personnel is where quality starts. One of our main advantages we offer to Navy Welding Contractors is that we know what it takes to perform a welding job from start to finish. We have inspectors who can assist from start to end to make sure a work specification is being followed. We understand what it takes to comply with NAVSEA Standard Items and how to invoke or delete line items that aren't properly called out in the work specification. We have vast knowledge of the fabrication documents to make ensure compliance and add quality. Another major difference that makes us stand out is our ability to assist welding companies to start their own NDT departments. We will assist in Procedure Writing, Training and Certification for your company. We feel by assisting our customer to be as efficient as they can while having the best quality possible, it will ultimately drive the relationship closer.
