About StandUp for Kids Atlanta
The mission of StandUp For Kids is to end the cycle of youth homelessness. Since 2003 our trained volunteers have been connecting with youth (ages 14-24) at-risk or experiencing homelessness. We provide immediate resources and referrals to get youth to safety and to a path forward. As a mobile service center, we provide shelter and housing resources, identification and transportation resources, immediate needs such as food packs, hygiene items, emergency assistance, and harm reduction counseling to address the risks associated with street life. Our in-school Mentoring Program matches trained volunteer mentors with at-risk high school students, providing social and emotional support to help them stay in school and on the path to graduation and success.
