About Stanhope Gate Architecture
Stanhope Gate Architecture Ltd is an internationally renowned practice established in 2002 which specializes in new build, masterplanning and refurbishment of listed and historic buildings, and collegiate, hotel and resort projects, both in the UK and abroad. The working philosophy of the practice and our unique approach revolves around the guiding principles and innate wisdom of classical and vernacular architecture in perfect harmony with contemporary requirements. The focus of every one of our projects remains the marriage of the modern with classical ideals, the creation of a sense of place and imbuing the built form with a human scale through the quality of the architecture and detail, maintaining the relationship between the craft of building and the art of architecture. The range of commissions in the UK comprises masterplans and proposals for a new-build for a college in Regents Park, new buildings, refurbishment and major extensions of large Grade I and II buildings in Central London, Embassies and diplomatic residences. Projects internationally include remodelling and new-build palace complex in Madrid, the masterplan of a planned private community in Croatia, residences in the Middle East and the South of France with project values ranging from £2 million to £120 million.
