Stanislaus Surgical Hospital is a physician owned hospital that opened its doors as an ambulatory surgery center in 1985*. As one of the first Surgery Centers, Stanislaus set the mark for service and efficiency. In 1998, shareholders voted to convert the Surgery Center into an acute care hospital. SSH was licensed and certified in January 2000. In 2007 SSH acquired Precision Imaging to provide a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the Stanislaus County service area. Since that time, we have grown to be one of the busiest specialty surgery hospitals in the nation. The Hospital maintains eight operating rooms, three treatment rooms, and 23 inpatient beds. SSH averages over 15,000 cases per year covering all specialties, including many complex procedures, and has the highest rating for knee and hip replacements as well as neuro surgery. Precision Imaging, operated by SSH, provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the Stanislaus County service area. PI annually receives referrals from nearly 300 physicians and provides imaging services to nearly 10,000 patients. Current services include MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Bone Density and Mammography.
