Star nursing and care services Ltd was founded in 1987 and is a well established, independent nursing and care agency with a clear focus on providing quality service and staff to clients in their own homes, nursing and residential homes, hospitals and many other organisations needing last minute nursing and care cover. Star Nursing and Care Services joined the London Agency Project in 2003 which has developed through different phases, and is now the London Procurement Project (LPP). LPP is a procurement process for the NHS and PCTs in London for the supply of temporary nursing staff. Star nursing and Care Services acts as an employment and domiciliary agency supplying nurses and support staff of different grades to NHS and private hospitals, clinics and nursing homes and the community. Our Mission statement Star nursing and Care Serviceâs aim is to provide a professional, quality cost effective service with a caring and humane touch. This entails acknowledging and respecting differences of all kinds, with a view to promoting Independence, Dignity, Privacy and Challenging Discrimination. We aim to provide 24 hour service as a contribution towards easing the staffing problems in hospitals, nursing homes, Mental Health Units and the community. We recruit and retain the most highly qualified and experienced staff for the job and our selection procedure is therefore very rigorous. We also aim to develop staff skills to their highest potential through regular skills updates, induction and appraisals.
