Starkstrom’s mission is to provide clinical infrastructure solutions to hospitals for their critical areas by offering high quality products and services for better patient outcomes, process and cost-efficiencies. Starkstrom Limited, a Progility PLC company, is an innovative healthcare equipment and service company founded in 1971, which initially specialised in the design and manufacture of control panel equipment. INNOVATION - Since installing the first isolated power solution in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 1995, to meet the new IEC directive that came into force, Starkstrom has developed a range of associated products including the touch screen Theatre Control Panel, Starkstrom’s Automatic Transfer Switch (SATS), Earthing accessories and a wide range of Clinical Pendants which have recently been enhanced with additional safety features of cable management and ambient lighting. PORTFOLIO ENHANCEMENT – Starkstrom also have exclusive UK distribution of KLS Martin’s Operating Lights (the E-series and award winning marLED® V-series range) and high frequency electrosurgical units (maxium®). Similarly, Starkstrom also promote Merivaara’s range of Operating Tables which include Promerix and Practico. SERVICE ORIENTATED - With its manufacturing site in the UK, Starkstrom has the ability and flexibility to provide bespoke solutions to meet customers’ needs. This is supported by a strong service and maintenance team, with 20 personnel in the field, to support products once they have been installed. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT - Starkstrom is continually striving to improve the quality of its product and service offering moving towards medical devices that are: (1) easier to use without compromising safety, (2) more competitively priced without compromising quality, (3) supported with quality training and bespoke service and maintenance packages.
