Starlight Children's Foundation Australia brightens the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and young people. When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, life becomes consumed by hospital and treatment. It’s scary and overwhelming. As Australia’s broadest reaching and most reputable children’s charity*, we’ve worked alongside health professionals for over 35 years, helping ‘sick kids’ simply be ‘kids’. Every research-based Starlight program creates much-needed happiness for sick kids and their families. Happiness helps sick kids cope better with the pain and stress of treatment, and helps families feel more connected and positive about what lies ahead. ⭐ That’s why Starlight exists. Because happiness matters. At Starlight, our most important responsibility is to ensure our programs are provided in an environment that is caring, nurturing and safe for all children and young people. We have been awarded full Safeguarding Children accreditation through the Australian Childhood Foundation.
