Start Elevator was founded in the Bronx, New York, in 1992. The family-owned elevator repair, maintenance and construction business has served some of the Tri-State Area’s most prominent property owners. Start’s 2014 acquisition of Al-An Elevator Maintenance Corporation, a well-known New York City elevator maintenance firm that has served the Tri-State for more than three decades, has dramatically expanded its service capacity and geography. In the future, Start Elevator looks forward to positioning itself as a leader in the Northeast’s booming elevator maintenance, modernization and construction segment. The company’s seasoned mechanics, repair professionals and construction experts are happy to tackle jobs of virtually any size and complexity. According to the company’s records, the firm has handled repair jobs with budgets as low as a few thousand dollars and modernization, construction and retrofitting jobs as large as $6 million.
