About Starting Point Community Learning Partnership
A multi award winning training provision based in a friendly, and inspiring environment. We offer our clients a socially responsible alternative to traditional training providers and focus on quality teaching using innovative and evolving techniques. We offer our customers a non-judgemental way to return to learning in an environment that is unique to Stockport. In March 2023 we offered 96 "free to end user" training sessions in and around Stockport. Our themes of work include: - Tackling digital exclusion - Offering financial support (including credit union collection point and food bank reveal agents) - Community organising (including support to other organisation on ways on engaging in communities) - Supporting positive wellbeing (including a pledge to end loneliness) - Promoting individual powered health choices - Support to SMEs Starting Point is subsidiary organisation of Startpoint Coffee shop, established in 2009 to provide a community space for local people to come together and tackle collective concerns. Profits from sales of coffee goes to supporting some of the work at Starting Point Community Learning Partnership.
