States Family Law is a full-service family law firm based in Sacramento, providing the highest caliber and caring service to clients with divorce, custody, support, property division and prenuptial and post-marital agreement needs. I, Linda States, am a Certified Family Law Specialist with the Calif. State Bar, and have been recognized as a FindLaw "Super Lawyer" and a Sacramento Bee "Top Lawyer". Before opening my solo practice, I spent a decade working for one of Sacramento's premier law firms, representing clients in some of the most sophisticated and complex family law cases in Northern California, after working for the Family Law Facilitator's Office of the Sacramento Superior Court. Being a divorced single parent to two children (just 2 & 5 at the time of my separation in 2006) and being a business owner both accentuate my understanding and compassion for my clients. All of this experience creates a unique blend of powerful legal representation with a genuinely caring touch. I work hard to exceed client expectations, with family law services that are of the highest quality and are more communicative, responsive and flexible than is commonplace. I offer a variety of service options, including consultation-basis, limited-scope and full representation, to meet most family law needs and budgets.
