Delivering a quality product, on time, is one of the greatest challenges for the structural steel industry. While quality can be easily achieved with the right level of expertise, time constraints are ruthless. There is no point ordering a high-quality product if it arrives late. At Steelo we understand that failure to meet project deadlines can be costly. Structural steel must be delivered on time and it should fit together straight away. In our Heathrow plant, we combine cutting-edge business knowledge with IT wizardry to deliver the reliability you need. We operate lean manufacturing concepts to maximise efficiency: our IT system keeps enough stock in-house to enable short lead time fabrication and guarantee two-hour delivery slots. This fine-tuned, responsive system has been built to provide outstanding, reliable service so we can meet deadlines on time, every time. We are the industry leader in fabrication and distribution of structural steel, operating in the South East of England. Our fabrication facilities and HQ are based in West London, near Heathrow Airport. Since the company was founded in 2009, we have been constantly developing new technologies and innovating the steel industry. In 2013, we started developing our bespoke ERP system, enabling us to speed up the quoting process, manage our production line and meticulously project manage. One of the main features implemented in Steelo System is DRUM - Drum Buffer Rope (DBR) our planning and scheduling solution. Derived from Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints (ToC), the Drum helps us plan, stick to strict deadlines and stay on track whilst also minimising the risk of any problems that can occur during the manufacturing process. At Steelo we believe that all industries should be experimenting and investing in innovative ideas and technologies.
