STEICO UK Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of STEICO SE, the Munich based manufacturers of wood based environmentally friendly products. The corner stone of the STEICO success story in Europe has been based on its innovative and market leading range of insulation products manufactured from wood fibre. The group’s expertise has enabled the development of an ever expanding range of natural and truly sustainable building and insulation solutions. STEICO have become the 'global' leading manufacturer in this sector. Across Europe wood fibre products have become a lifestyle product with consumers becoming increasingly knowledgeable about the benefits of healthy living, sustainability and summer heat protection. In the UK, STEICO is probably best known for its range of Engineered I Joists and LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber), where these products are primarily used in intermediate floor and roof constructions. STEICO I Joists and LVL are used by many National, Regional and Local House Builders / Developers and are probably the UK's most specified brand. The I Joists are manufactured from 2 components, LVL and Natural Fibreboard, both of which are produced by STEICO, offering a secure supply chain to partners and customers alike. The trend in Europe for specifying I Joists for wall applications has been embraced in the UK, where wider studs are required (from 160-500mm) to achieve Passivhaus standards. Whilst STEICO is not a 'system' provider, they do manufacturer a range of products which offer energy efficient and healthy building solutions, incorporating the insulation and sheathing into an Engineered framework constructed from I Joists and LVL. All STEICO products are Passivhaus certified and are environmentally friendly. Products are certified by either the FSC or PEFC organisations and are fully compliant under the EUTR regulations. Continual expansion at the manufacturing facilities, will enable STEICO to remain at the forefront of ecological building systems.
