Steinbeis Papier is the European market leader in graphic recycled paper made from 100% recovered paper. The company based in Glückstadt has one of the most advanced and ecologically integrated factories in the recycled paper industry. Steinbeis Papier stands for sustainable office papers and magazine papers – certified with the Blue Angel label. Long before corporate social responsibility, environmental and climate protection became the watch words of 21st century business, the management of Steinbeis had already opted to model its production facilities after ecological principles. Away from resource intensive production, towards a value chain whose foundations are sustainability and closed loop recycling. Through the sustainability of its products, Steinbeis enables consumers in the worlds of business, industry and in the public sector to use copy and printing paper in large volumes whilst still acting responsibly and in the interests of sustainability. Compared to the rest of the sector, Steinbeis’ production processes are subject to the highest environmental standards for CO2 emissions, raw-material consumption and energy and water usage. All paper is made from 100% recycled paper. This medium-sized family business was founded in 1911 and employs around 300 people. The company’s factory in Glückstadt, near Hamburg, produces more than 300,000 tonnes of office papers, magazine papers and digital printing papers every year.
