Step by Step Learning™ (SBSL) was founded on the principles of integrity, adaptability, openness and working collaboratively to reach every student’s individual potential. SBSL began as a family affair, where Danielle and Peter started assisting family friends and younger siblings of friends. They quickly realised the impact tutors can have on the confidence and abilities of students and expanded her knowledge through working in various tutoring roles, and eventually, building their own clientele. This experience shaped their understanding of the tutoring industry and how they can best assist students of all ages and abilities. Danielle and Peter expanded their tutoring services with hand-picked tutors who are equally intelligent, passionate, patient and place importance on the value of nurturing students individually. SBSL is based in the Sutherland shire and also offers a mobile service with selected tutors. SBSL has developed into an authentic community, where tutors are invested in students and their goals. The role of a tutor is far broader than just an academic teacher. Our tutors provide mentoring, build trusting relationships and facilitate open communication with students and parents, while also being positive role models to students. SBSL has expanded it's services to also offer speech pathology services (2019). SBSL continues to focus on the Paediatric population, providing diagnostic assessment and therapy to school aged children, whether they be in Primary School or High School.
