About STEP College-Prep Program

STEP is a college access program for low-income high school students in Arizona. Each year, we equip over 300 students in Phoenix and Tucson with the the knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills needed to enroll in and graduate from college. 99% of STEP students are the first generation in their family to pursue a college degree. 96% of STEP College-Prep alumni are in college or have earned their college degree. Approximately half of STEP scholars have matriculated at schools in Arizona, with many attending Barrett, the Honors College at ASU and Franke Honors College at UA. The rest of our graduates have enrolled in top schools across the US, including Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, and Yale.
