About Stephen T. Mather Building Arts & Craftsmanship High School
Mather is a Career and Technical Education school, otherwise known as CTE. In addition to college preparation, all Mather students are enrolled in our Historic Preservation CTE program. Developed in collaboration with our founding partner the National Park Service, Mather students are taught specific building arts through the lens of Historic Preservation. As the future stewards responsible for preserving our nation's historic structures and landscapes, Mather students learn and practice carpentry, masonry, decorative finishing, and landscaping through hands-on project based learning.
