Stepping Stones for Families is a national voluntary organisation. For 30 years we have been working alongside children, young people and families in Scotland to give them support, opportunities and a voice in tackling the effects of poverty and disadvantage in their lives. Our vision is that all children and young people have an enjoyable life in a healthy, fair and safe environment where they are respected and supported to achieve their full potential. We do this by working alongside children, families and young people to give them support, opportunities and a voice in tackling the effects of poverty and disadvantage in their lives. We believe in sustainability, sustaining positive change for children, young people and their families. We support families to develop their resilience, confidence and skills to: break the barriers of isolation; create and develop relationships within their community; build resilience, confidence and harness self-belief; to recognise and grow skills, nourish talents; seek out opportunities; and take control of their own lives whilst mitigating the effects of poverty.
