I love helping people achieve positive results. At J. C. Penney I started as a men’s shoe salesman, was invited into the New York large store training program, and became sales manager in a furniture department. The salespeople I managed had not been trained or motivated to sell or display the furniture attractively. Also they were unaware of upcoming advertising specials. For nearly 10 years I have been involved with literally thousands of people, helping them with career development in employment and self-employment, especially in small businesses. I have promoted, organized, and run networking meetings at no cost to those attending. In addition I teach complimentary workshops. They cover how to find a suitable career, transfer skills, make a career search effective for life, network, and interview. I am a connector of people. My goal is to do this as long as I can. Specialties:Facilitating complimentary solution-focused help for career and self-employment. Coaching and teaching principles such as how to discover or confirm the right career, where to spend time networking, how to transfer skills, interviewing, informational interviewing, and salary negotiations--all of which lead to staying career self-reliant the rest of one’s life.
