About Steve's Livestock Transport
When Steve Brandt founded Steve’s Livestock Transport in 1987, his vision was to make a living and support his family while working in an industry he was passionate about – and to do it in a way that would align with his core values and his faith. Steve learned about the livestock business from his father, who ran a grain farm and equipment dealership. When his first business loan application was declined, he approached a friend about purchasing a tractor and trailer. Steve had no money for a down payment, but his friend agreed to the sale – sealing the promise of repayment within a year with only a handshake. Guided by his personal values of honesty, integrity, and hard work, Steve kept that promise to his friend. The loan was repaid and Steve’s Livestock Transport was born. From that young entrepreneur and a single truck and trailer, Steve’s Livestock has grown to become one of the largest commercial livestock carriers in North America – and a leader in the transportation industry. Through nearly three decades of growth, the company’s vision has expanded but has always stayed true to the values that started it all.
