District 125 is Adlai E. Stevenson High School, commonly called Stevenson High School (SHS). We are a public four-year high school located in Lincolnshire, Illinois, serving the following communities: Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Prairie View, portions of Buffalo Grove, Mundelein, Kildeer, Hawthorn Woods and smaller portions of Vernon Hills, Lake Zurich, Lake Forest, Mettawa, Riverwoods, Bannockburn and Deerfield. Stevenson offers more than 200 courses in communication arts, mathematics, science, social science, foreign languages, fine arts, applied arts, and physical welfare. Classes are taught by a talented and experienced corps of teachers, considered by their peers to be among the country's foremost authorities in their fields. We are the only public high school in Illinois to receive four Blue Ribbon Awards for Excellence in Education. Our Advanced Placement program is among the nation's best. More than 20 AP classes are available. SHS regularly leads the Midwest region in AP participation and has ranked in the top five worldwide. It appears that the prediction made more than 40 years ago has become a reality.
