About Stichting Higher Horizons Africa Education Foundation for Girls

Higher Horizons Africa Education Foundation for Girls was born from a passion for education and the ambition to be a force for positive change in the world. In July 2022, a student excursion to the underserved townships of Cape Town and Johannesburg served as the catalyst for change. Having been a young girl raised in a South African township herself, Founder and Chairman Gretchen Rudolph was eager to see these girls harness the power of education. So she rallied a group of MBA students and together they established Higher Horizons Africa. Higher Horizons Africa is a non-profit organization that gives girls in South Africa access to the education, mentorship, and resources they need to lift themselves out of poverty and bring hope to their communities. To put it simply, we break down barriers and build up girls. On March 24th 2023, the first seed of hope for change was planted and Stichting Higher Horizons Education Foundation for Girls was registered as an official NGO. Today, we’ve laid the foundation and now we need your support to build a brighter future for Africa.
