Stichting Literatura werd in april 2014 in Amsterdam opgericht. De volle naam is “Stichting Literatura Pools-Nederlands-Vlaams Literair Platform”. Het woord “Literatura” betekent in het Pools “Literatuur”. De stichting heeft twee hoofddoelen. Ten eerste, willen wij Poolse literatuur onder aandacht brengen bij een breder publiek in Nederland en België. Pełna nazwa to „Stichting Literatura Pools-Nederlands-Vlaams Literair Platform” („Fundacja Literatura. Polsko-Niderlandzko-Flamandzka Platforma Literacka”). Fundacja ma dwa główne cele. Pierwszym z nich jest promowanie literatury polskiej w Holandii i Belgii, drugim – promowanie literatury holenderskiej i flamandzkiej w Polsce.
