The main goal of The Rock Foundation is to make the world brighter through Jesus Christ, which represents the fundament on which we are built. The Rock Foundation is founded by two young men and best friends, Junior Kwame Boakye Agyeman and Emmanuel Owusu Annim. They both live in Amsterdam. In early April 2018, the two friends went outside with a group to evangelise. As they were evangelising, they strongly felt something was missing. ‘Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.‘ – James 2:17-18 Therefore, they initiated the idea of starting a charity foundation. Their idea was quickly linked to their biggest passion, the love of God. They were driven by their passion to influence the world with the Good News, the Gospel, which is centred on the love of God. Whilst thinking about starting the charitable organization, they wanted to find a name that represented their faith. One of the founders, Junior Kwame, took this into prayer and sought the Lord Jesus. By doing so, he received a name for the organisation, ‘The Rock Foundation’. The Mission of The Rock Foundation is to create a relevant view for the poor. The Gospel is not only in prayer and spending time in the church, but it is also in feeding and clothing the poor. The Rock Foundation was established in the year 2018 and went online on public platforms in January 2019. Their plan is to start in the Netherlands and in due time expand to other parts of the world to solve both heals as poverty issues.
