About Stiftung Menschen für Menschen

Die Stiftung Menschen für Menschen bringt seit über 40 Jahren gemeinsam mit der Bevölkerung in Äthiopien die gesellschaftliche und wirtschaftliche Entwicklung voran. In aktuell dreizehn ländlichen Projektregionen setzen rund 600 festangestellte äthiopische Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter die ganzheitlichen Projekte um. Mit rund 300 nachhaltigen Maßnahmen in den Bereichen Landwirtschaft, Wasser, Bildung, Gesundheit und Einkommen unterstützt die Organisation die Menschen dabei, ihre Lebensumstände aus eigener Kraft zu verbessern. Den Grundstein für die Stiftung legte 1981 der Schauspieler Karlheinz Böhm (gest. 2014) in der Sendung „Wetten, dass..?“. Menschen für Menschen trägt durchgehend seit 1993 das Spendensiegel des Deutschen Zentralinstituts für soziale Fragen (DZI). --- The Menschen für Menschen Foundation has been working with the people of Ethiopia to promote social and economic development for over 40 years. Around 600 permanent Ethiopian employees are currently implementing the holistic projects in thirteen rural project regions. With around 300 sustainable measures in the areas of agriculture, water, education, health and income, the organization supports people in improving their living conditions through their own efforts. The foundation stone for the foundation was laid in 1981 by actor Karlheinz Böhm (died 2014) in the show "Wetten, dass...?". Menschen für Menschen has carried the donation seal of the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) continuously since 1993.
