StinkySocks Hockey started on the ice in the winter 2006-2007 season with the goal of building a league that was dedicated to providing a great experience on and off the ice. We were looking for was something that was difficult to find... a game that was more structured and dependable than pickup hockey without the nonsense (fights, disrespect, etc.) that we all too often found in the more intense leagues. SSH is a league that consists of players who all realize that they have to get up the next day and who have come grips with the fact that they are not skating for the cup. Our players want a competitive game that is within their appropriate skill level and is also friendly. We have been fortunate to continue to grow while maintaining these common values in our player base. Our games have over a 95% history of having two goalies, and they are always officiated. We've grown over 500% in the past year . We offer leagues that you can join with a group or as an individual, game by game play through the No Commitment Hockey program, local and travel tournaments, and now Women's field hockey. We continue to grow, evolve, and improve in ways that exceed the expectations of our players. Today we continue our commitment to providing the best adult hockey in the Boston area. In summary, we are a league that offers well organized, competitive (but not aggressive), dependable, friendly hockey, consisting of a group of great people who enjoy competing.
