About STMPatch - SingleTimeMicroneedles
SingleTimeMicroneedles’ mission is to improve community health multiple doses at a time. Our work on multi-dose thermally-stable microneedle patches will increase access to lifesaving veterinary and human pharmaceuticals and supplements. We have developed a drug/vaccine microneedle delivery platform that eliminates the need for cold-chain storage and transportation and are the only patches that can deliver doses immediately, over-time, or separately over weeks/months in one application. The core technology of STM is a vaccine patch which can be painlessly applied at a single time on the skin to embed arrays of microneedles (MNs) inside the superficial skin layer (like an invisible tattoo). The MNs are made of a safe biodegradable polymer (used for surgical suture) and pre-programmed to release vaccines repeatedly over a long period, mimicking the effect of multiple prime/booster doses in the traditional vaccination process. The APIs are stabilized against high temperatures, thus avoiding the need of cold-chain storage facilities and affirming the antigenicity for a long-term skin embedment. The technology will revolutionize the vaccination process by 1. eliminating biohazard waste 2. reducing personnel time (one dose, easy application) 3. enabling a high immunogenic efficacy via transdermal delivery 4. increasing patient compliance to dosing schedules 5. eliminate needle sticks for workers Applications include human supplements, animal health products, and human pharmaceuticals.
