About Stop Abuse
Stop Abuse (stopabuse.com) is a 501(c)3 organization formed in 1986 to prevent child sexual abuse through education, detection and referral. Through its Emmy award-winning marionette program & digital video content of “Simon Says Just Tell,” children learn to recognize, prevent and disclose sexual abuse in a safe, non-threatening environment. Two years of intensive research went into producing the highly lauded and effective child sexual abuse prevention production, “Simon Says Just Tell”. The comprehensive program is geared toward elementary schoolchildren and educators in Kindergarten through Grade 5. Handled in a most sensitive way, important safety concepts are introduced by “Simon”. Simon is our little green hero, who serves as an inner voice and conscience and gives children the guidance and strength to do the right thing when a potentially dangerous situation occurs. He always shows up at just the right time to help children out of difficult situations, and empowers children to understand and be proud of their own self-worth and the right of sanctity of their own body.
