About STORM Research Center

STORM brings together researchers who share a passion for high quality research in strategy and organization. STORM stands for STrategy, ORganization, and Management (or Mates, or whatever cool word starting with M you can think of). STORM is best defined as follows: - broad-minded in terms of theory and topics. Anything advancing knowledge in strategy and organization is welcome, and we do see value in conceptual as well as empirical research, in intra-organizational, organizational, as well as in inter-organizational levels. - agnostic in terms of research methods. We see value in all kinds of epistemologies and methodologies, provided they are conducted soundly. Collectively, our work ranges from ethnography to case studies to statistical analyses to simulation. - ambitious in generating quality research. Although we value open-mindedness, we can tell good research from bad research. We regularly hold meetings to help each other improve our research. Collectively, we have published in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, Harvard Business Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Strategic Management Journal, and many others.
