Story Tyke has flipped the script on “library-driven” storytime apps—built to simplify the storytime process, save busy parents time, and deliver a personalized experience for every child. We originally started Story Tyke in November 2020 as an email newsletter subscription. By April 2021, we were delivering original stories to 2,500+ parents in 35+ countries with a +40% open rate. After 700 customer survey responses and video interactions, we deciphered that our email subscription did not deliver what parents truly wanted. They wanted something that personalize content for each child, and save them time (no more searching online or making a run to the library). With their help, we developed a product roadmap, pivoted in May, and then spent the summer building our MVP. That product launched on 10/18/21 and is now on the App Store.
