Stowell's Excavation, LLC., is a residential and commercial Excavation company based out of Cazenovia, New York. With over 15 years of experience, Stowell's Excavation has continued to invest in the most advanced technology in the industry. Year after year growth in revenue, Stowell's has continued to perform and hold themselves to the highest standards in quality, cost, and delivery. In December 2019, they sat down and questioned what more they could do for their customers; they challenged the status quo and how they had been performing their work successfully for the last 15 years. Starting the following month, the company embarked on a Lean Transformation from the help of a family friend and son. Based on the Toyota Production System, which focuses its key processes on maximizing value added activity and eliminating waste (8 waste), Stowell's Excavation quickly rearranged company assets to promote the intiative. Completely removing process batches into a single piece, end to end connected value stream from raw material to finished product, its founders implemented key principles such as flow, takt, pull, and zero defects across entire business unit. Today the company continues this initiative, training all of its employee's in all aspect of Lean thinking and the Toyota Production System.
