Stratagem Studios is capitalized to build over 1.5 million Sq Ft of custom designed studio facilities in Ontario in the next 5 years to meet today’s critical needs for borderless creative content. In 2020, the first 300,000 Sq Ft of state-of-the-art sound stages will launch in Toronto and North Bay. In North Bay, Stratagem Studios, in partnership with Canadore, is building the first purpose built Tier 1 stage ever created in Northern Ontario. The facility will include an 80,000 Sq Ft studio complex with a 40,000 Sq Ft clear span sound stage, an expansive 40 Ft ceiling height, and support spaces, including production offices, talent cabins, carpentry, prop, wardrobe and art department spaces. Following the North Bay studio, further locations across Northern Ontario will be identified. Stratagem is working towards building an integrated industry that builds people as well as infrastructure. We have partnered with NABET 700-M UNIFOR to support workforce development, community building, innovation and long-term economic success in Ontario. We’ve also partnered with a number of academic institutions including Ryerson University, Canadore College, and the Heads of Media Art and Design (a conglomerate of 22 colleges across Ontario) to train the next generation of behind the camera artists and innovators. Our partnership is focused on creating sustainable jobs and training opportunities within Ontario.
