About Strategic M&A Advisors, LLC (SMAA) The members of SMAA have been assisting middle-market business owners during the final stages of the business life-cycle for over two decades in our capacities as lawyers, accountants, corporate risk managers, and business advisors. SMAA was founded in order to provide business owners with the highest-level of guidance and representation at the most critical stage of the business life-cycle - the divestiture stage. At SMAA, our goal is to maximize the value of our client’s business. This is done throughout the three critical stages of the divestiture and sales process: 1. Prior to approaching the market on behalf of our client, SMAA works with the business owner to identify the key value-drivers of the business. Once identified, we work with our client to maximize the way in which the key value-drivers will be represented in the market, thus leading to maximum business value. 2. Once the representation materials are written and approved by the client, SMAA introduces the Confidential Report to a marketplace of well over 5,000 strategic and private equity buyers both domestic and abroad. We also discretely advertise the business opportunity on international business sales clearinghouses. Simply stated, the larger the pool of prospective buyers, the larger the ultimate sale price. 3. Once the ideal buyer or buyers are identified, SMAA then negotiates not only the best price, but also the deal structure that will maximize after tax dollars and minimize risk for our client. The SMAA team has the experience and industry knowledge to maximize the value of your business transaction.
