Strategic Tax Credit Investments (STCI) was established in 2010 by David Robbins as an investment advisory, brokerage and consulting firm focused on affordable housing. STCI works with syndicators on strategic positioning, raising investor equity and product development. STCI is an independently owned firm whose two key principals have over thirty years of combined experience in the low income housing tax credit (LIHTC) industry. The firm has developed a strong platform by focusing exclusively on the affordable housing industry, helping clients invest approximately $2 billion in federal and state LIHTC equity transactions. STCI has assisted investor clients in making investments ranging from $1 million to over $200M in affordable housing funds in both the primary and secondary market. STCI's investor base is entirely institutional and ranges from small banks and insurance companies to Fortune 100 corporations. We work with clients to help them understand the asset class, the risks and rewards of investing in affordable housing, and to define their tax credit investment objectives and constraints. We help clients select suitable tax credit sponsors and programs as well as monitor client's portfolios on an ongoing basis. We also value tax credit portfolios for secondary market resale opportunities.
