About Strong Space Counselling

We thrive on supporting men and fathers struggling with anxiety, depression, anger issues, the transition to parenthood, sex, relationships and trauma recovery. At Strong Space, we believe that men are full and complex humans and that they deserve a space where they get to explore every part of them, whether healthy or problematic. We believe that underneath all the social conditioning and contradictory experiences in men’s life, that when they are able to unpack and explore their defensive and protective parts and transform any unhelpful core beliefs and wounds, they are able witness the reconnection to their true Self for the first time in maybe many years or decades. We’re not afraid to support men through life’s most difficult times, including relationship breakdowns, suicidal ideation, addiction, shame and even grandiosity, narcissism and selfishness. We also work with men and fathers who are looking to shed old, problematic patterns and dynamics so they can learn to be the most authentic and aligned version of themSelves. We don’t just believe that it’s okay to not be okay - we believe that pain and fear and anger are inherent emotions worth feeling. Without them, we have nothing to contrast the joy and happiness we feel in other areas of our life. That being said, we support our men to find a healthy balance so you’re not feeling exclusively and only these feelings. We will look forward to your goals, back to coping strategies that have worked, teach you a slew of new skills and even, if you want, address the underlying issues that are causing your distress or discomfort.
