Atlas Smart Technologies is a Northern Irish company aiming to become the market leader for home fitness solutions. It was founded in February 2021 and has 4 team members- all close friends, technology enthusiasts and avid gym-goers. During lockdown, people realised that home workouts had great potential. They loved how convenient and accommodating to busy lifestyles they were. However, people struggled with a lack of suitable equipment. They missed the accountability and guidance that comes from training at a gym. Home gym set-ups were expensive and took up too much floor space. Adjustable dumbbells offered a solution, but existing market offerings did not have enough weight levels or took too long to adjust. The founding team believed there was a need for a better solution. Atlas, therefore, developed the solutions: Stronger Mobile and the SmartBell. Stronger Mobile is a workout tracking app which gamifies the fitness experience, providing accountability for users. It is available on iOS and Android. Stronger makes it easy to visualise progress, by comparing your workouts to relatable objects and landmarks to create a fun and engaging experience. Stronger also tracks your total weight statistics, allowing users to take on challenges such as cumulatively lifting the Statue of Liberty or other iconic structures. Detailed analytics are also available to drive progress so users can reach and surpass their goals. The SmartBell is an adjustable dumbbell which offers twenty-six different weight levels, ten more than the market leader. Atlas aims to combine Stronger and the SmartBell, creating a smart adjustable dumbbell. The company’s vision is to provide customers with any weight, anytime, anywhere - making fitness accessible to all.
