The Student Association at the Stockholm School of Economics (SASSE) is a non-partisan, non-religious organization that has about 1600 members. SASSE was founded in 1909 when the Stockholm School of Economics was situated at Brunkebergstorg. Over a century later the Student Association is located at Sveavägen in the heart of Stockholm and has evolved into a vast and dynamic organization where 95% of the students are active to some extent during their time at SSE. The Student Association's mission for over 100 years has been to promote good camaraderie. The vision of the Student Association can be divided into three parts. Social - All SASSE activities will be welcoming towards all SSE students and be a platform for social development. Educational - SASSE will ensure that every student at SSE is given the highest level of education. Professional - SASSE will be at the forefront nationally and internationally at giving its members opportunities.
