About Student Merchandising Association
We are an organization at the University of Georgia dedicated to developing our members - the future of the fashion industry. Through general body meetings, events, and speakers, we strive to teach our members skills that are imperative to succeed within the fashion industry and knowledge on merchandising, styling, event planning, and public relations within fashion. Career development is emphasized when preparing for events, especially our annual fashion show. As a part of UGA Fashion Month, SMA members work with local Athens boutiques and network with other student organizations to host a philanthropic fashion show to benefit an important cause in the UGA and/or Athens Community.
