About Student Organization of Caribbean Awareness
The Student Organization for Caribbean Awareness (S.O.C.A.) is one of the oldest multicultural organizations on Temple University’s campus, proudly representing Caribbean culture and community. Since 1990, S.O.C.A's mission is to provide a forum through which the grievances of Caribbean students can be voiced and addressed, while promoting unity among Caribbean people at Temple University. Promote intercultural understanding and friendships between Caribbean and non-Caribbean students, faculty, and staff. As well as Increasing students’ cultural, social, educational, and political awareness through events, programs, and guest speakers.
