About STUDIO 60 Senior Center

Providing programs and activities geared to active seniors, our mission is to reimagine aging through wellness, connection, and lifelong learning – all in a vibrant, inclusive community space. We are celebrating 50 years of service in 2024 and our 47,500-square-foot center located on Drake Avenue serves as a hub for various member activities, including exercise, dance, sports, creative arts, and learning. These opportunities are of no cost to residents of Huntsville and Madison County, Alabama, who are ages 60 and above. We also provide a variety of services for those much less active seniors who are confined on a limited or permanent basis to their homes including Meals on Wheels and limited homemaker services. These services help keep people in their own homes for longer periods of time and saves millions of dollars in nursing home expenses. STUDIO 60 itself is one of eight nutrition centers in Madison County which provide a limited number of hot lunches each day, Monday through Friday. Personal Enrichment Programs Recreation - Organized activities range from table games, trips and dances, to sporting events, line/ballroom dancing, and performing arts. Creative Skills - Leatherworking, woodworking, painting, clay/ceramics, textile creation, and stained glass are some of the classes continuously offered. Health - Wellness programs feature exercises, screenings, education, and stress management. Education - Languages, writing, genealogy, and computer basics are examples of enrichment classes offered. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program - Providing valuable services for area non-profit agencies.
