About Studio August

Studio August is a full service boutique interior design firm founded by Carrie Senft in Brooklyn in 2023. August is a month that is as vibrant as it is soft. It’s robust but unfussy; full of life but calm and quiet. It’s a time when the season–and life itself– feels fully settled. This is how we think home should feel and is at the heart of all of our design projects. Carrie Senft has been a New Yorker for her entire life. She earned a psychology degree from Hamilton College before completing the AAS program for interior design at Parsons The New School. Carrie worked as a designer for eight years under industry talents such as Sheena Murphy, Joe Nahem, Tina Rich and Tali Roth, before ultimately stepping out on her own and opening Studio August. Carrie believes that interior design is about more than just beautiful spaces; it’s about creating functional, livable interiors that can grow and change with their inhabitants. She creates an individualized approach for each project to suit the specific needs of her clients. Carrie’s biggest strengths are her abilities to listen and to put the needs of her clients before all else, all while bringing thoughtful, beautiful and whimsical spaces to life with elegance and efficiency.
