About Studio Bauta

Represented at Bonniers konsthall and Wos store. About: Studio Bauta was established in Stockholm 2020 by Fredrik Ehn with the main purpose of creating wearable pieces, where sensory experience is central to the design. The studio also takes on architectural, interior and object design projects. During his tenure at an architecture office, as lead architect, Fredrik won the prize "Byggnadsmärket" for the best new architectural project 2020. Studio Bauta designs have been featured in various, large-scale events and TV appearances such as Guldbaggegalan, Paris and Milan fashion weeks and Ellegalan. Pieces have been worn by several highly regarded style icons including Katia Mosally, Agnes and American drag queen and model Aquaria. The pieces are all individually handmade with carefully sourced materials and are therefore totally unique. The quality of design, materials and attention to details, reflect the values and characteristics of the brand. Whilst the studio is primarily focused on jewelry and handbag design, Fredrik's designs are intricately informed by his foundations in architecture and interior design. The studio strives to inspire personal expression and to celebrate unconventional pathways of life - natural, "imperfect" and bold. Studio Bauta believes that gender is inconsequential and in the freedom to challenge normative ideas.
