About Studio Citadela

The SC is a theatre association established in 1992 in Prague, Czech Republic. Its mission statement is to create positive culture bridges between artists with special needs and the society. Since 1996, the association has been located in the cultural social center Citadela Studio. Social and cultural activities are as following: * Both original and presented theatre&dance productions * Bohnice Theatre Company (inclusive theater) * Dance & Movement Studios (Indian Kathak, Budil.cz) * Art Therapy, theatre anthropology * Projects for youth and children * Concerts, music shows * Cultural social events & gatherings With the possibility of its own space in the center of Prague, we have fulfilled our long-term goal of creating the alternative cultural territory for the wide community of artists, children and youth, cutural public, and clients with special needs. BOHNICE THEATRE COMPANY First of all, the Bohnice Theatre Company is a community: an open formation of people with a wide range of experiences, opinions and views. The BTC is also a community of people with different degrees and diagnoses of mental "illness". The core of our group consists of theatre professionals and clients with longterm experience of psychiatric treatment (in-patients, ambulant or occasional psychiatric patients) enriched by students, therapists, artistic lecturers, friends, and sympathizers. Everyone can come and join us. Our main goal is to experience the process of creation - not the final performance. The opening night is just a partial fulfillment of our collective endeavor.
