About Studio Events

Run by Samantha Neary and Lee Jones, two well-respected names in the drinks trade with over 35 years of combined trade expertise. They have worked in some of the North’s most well-known bars as well as ambassadorial roles. Back when we could get together to drink, dance, and generally hang out with other human beings, we hosted a string of successful live events taking great pleasure in uniting people through their mutual loves and interests. We brought Leeds Rum Festival and Leeds Gin Fair to the city and both were a huge success; we knew that, with our industry contacts and knowledge, we had a lot to offer and decided to create a company under which we could put all our events for brand clarity. Our mission was ‘to create modern experiences that connect our guests through food and drink’ and we launched Rolling Social Events in 2020 – right as the country went into lockdown. We had to change direction. We still wanted to connect people, share our knowledge, and give people a good time and in June we launched Sip Along; an event held on Zoom allowing people to socialise from their sofas. Each Sip Along focuses on an alcoholic drink and is hosted by its Brand Ambassador. The host takes you through its origins, its recipe, its flavours; they share stories and history and invite you Sip Along. There are cocktail recipes, food pairings, and sharing of ideas and thoughts with the Sippers. We have hosted sell-out events with Plantation Rum, Ramsbury Gin, Ramsbury Vodka, Mackmyra Whiskey, Skylark Rum and many more. We book the expert, you buy a ticket, we deliver a fabulous and fulsome sample pack to your door, you join us on the night, the expert talks us through the spirit, and we all have a blast! Some are paired with food, some include a quiz, all have been very well received seeing return visitors. And because we’re online, we welcome visitors from sofas all over the country.
