About Studio Fundi

Fundi is a human-centred design studio and consultancy operating in London and Johannesburg. We are designers, thinkers and makers. We are users, advocates and researchers. Not only do we design, develop, innovate and launch our own products but we help you do the same. Our work is grounded in the fields of visual communication and behavioural design. We build products and services that have tangible impact and create behavioural change in the real world. We design for people, not designers. For users, not reviewers. For sustainable solutions, not band-aid resolutions. We work across all areas of human-centred design but have a special interest in health-care and design that makes a difference. Our time is divided between developing markets for FebriSol, new product development and human-centred design consulting. A minimum of ten-percent of Fundi’s time is dedicated to pro-bono work through our ForTheMany initiative. Fundi founder Ricky Stoch started developing FebriSol during the course of her MA degree at the Royal College of Art in London. Widespread interest in Febrisol coupled with demand for Ricky’s multi-faceted approach to consulting led to the subsequent establishment of Fundi. Characterised by a commitment to an inter-disciplinary approach, Fundi’s work is rooted in a strong belief that this type of thinking leads to true innovation. Typically, a Fundi project begin with consultations involving a diverse team of experts—including doctors, mathematicians, economists, journalists, entrepreneurs, psychologists, lawyers, academics, designers and public health specialists. We then refine, develop and design actionable behavioural change solutions for you, your community and organisation.
