About Studio Kader

Studio Kader is an independent project studio for art and design founded by Carolina Aboarrage and Lot Meijers. Within Studio Kader, Carolina specializes in graphic design with expertise in crafting identities, publications, motion graphics, websites, and exhibition identities, and with an eye for vibrant color combinations, layered aesthetics and distinctive typography. Lot's focus is on project management., including exhibition production and commission supervision, primarily serving clients in the cultural sector. Despite their distinct roles, their collaboration is characterized by synergy, where their individual strengths complement and enhance one another's work. Both Carolina and Lot have backgrounds in the arts, bringing creativity, expertise, and cultural perspectives to their work. Central to their approach is a spirit of generosity, fostering close collaboration with clients to understand their vision intimately. Studio Kader encourages collective endeavour and values diversity of knowledge, fostering an environment of experimentation and innovation through collaborative efforts. Lot Meijers is a graduate of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in audiovisual art. Carolina Aboarrage completed her studies in Fine Arts at Faculdade Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paulo. As visual artists, Carolina paints, while Lot is a member of an art collective that creates mixed media installations. Carolina, originally from Brazil, and Lot from the Netherlands, bring together diverse perspectives and experiences. Having met during Lot's artist residency in São Paulo, Brazil, they have been based in Europe since 2015, infusing their studio practice with a rich tapestry of cultural influences and queer representation. Kader has a wealth of experience in handling intricate projects both locally and internationally.
