About Studio Mahr

Studio Mahr is a graphic and spatial design studio. We collaborate with cultural institutions, publishing companies, artists and boutique brands on a wide range of projects offering consultation, art direction, editorial design, exhibition design, branding, and packaging design. By determining the core elements that characterize a project, we develop innovative and meaningful design solutions which create unique visual narratives. Lena Mahr studied graphic and spatial design at Central Saint Martins in London and at Elisava Barcelona and spend parts of her studies at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She also worked on a project for UN Habitat in Zarand, Iran. Before opening her own studio in 2011, Lena worked in design and advertising agencies as Creative Director. She has also taught at various institutions including Central Saint Martins (London), WestminsterUniversity (London), and ISIA Urbino (Italy). The studio won the German Design Award Special for the Corporate Design for Dr. Jaglas. Her editorial work has also been awarded the ADC competition as Best Newcomer Editorial and the Lead Award. Lena's projects were featured in various publications, magazines and books (Gestalten Verlag).
