studio other types is a design studio founded in 2016 by Charlotte Gosch and Jona Caspar Bähr. We develop visual communication concepts in the fields of design, art, culture, science and business. In doing so, we pursue a multidisciplinary approach and develop design solutions in analog and digital formats. Typography and book design are the starting point of our design practice. We design printed matter such as books, posters, magazines and catalogs for cultural institutions, companies, visual artists and musicians. Within the digital field we design complex websites, digital images and actualise the programming, UI/UX design and prototyping. We find unique design languages for each of our clients that fits the desired offline or online formats. Each project is preceded by an intensive research phase in which we sound out the needs of our clients and analyze visual materiality depending on the context. Thereof we condense conceptual approaches that combine individuality, zeitgeist and functionality. Depending on the task, we strengthen our team flexibly and modularly with project partners from our network in order to develop holistic solutions.
