About Studio RENS

Studio RENS Dutch Design Research studio Material minded, colourful to the core. RENS is a design research studio specialised in the applied investigation of colours and materials. Based in Eindhoven (the Netherlands), we offer customised designs and valuable insights through a multitude of practices and services. RENS was founded in 2008 by Renee Mennen and Stefanie van Keijsteren. We pair a precise, almost mathematical approach to design research with handson material experiments and a keen eye for colour. Across disciplines and in a variety of mediums, we work on collaborative, commissioned or self-initiated projects. Studio RENS is a research-based design studio. From Eindhoven (the Netherlands) the duo initiates projects in which colour often plays a key role. In addition to their own collections and interior products, the designers collaborate closely with various labels and companies. Conducting material research, product innovation and art direction.
